Description

Leadership Skills for Researchers

Deborah Forbes, Dr Michelle Pyer

This leadership skills day looks at some essential leadership skills that can help researchers to inspire and lead others to become engaged in their work. The day will include:

• Clarifying Values
• Leadership Styles
• Vision and Strategic Thinking
• Managing Upwards

Participants will need to undertake a 30 minute online self-assessment activity and attend a 30 minute feedback session before the skills day on 24th February.

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme and early career researchers* at the University of Northampton. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).

* We define Early Career Researchers (ECRs) as those members of University staff starting out on their career whose work role involves a substantial amount of research.
